The 2008 Aurora Festival has come to a close, and was a tremendous success for all involved.

When asked about the festival highlights, the best answer I can give is that every concert and event in the 2008 Aurora Festival was presented at the highest standard: from the music itself to the venues and of course, the magnificent performances.

Some of the important ongoing spinoffs from the 2008 Aurora Festival include the Lute Project website: http://www.abc.net.au/classic/lute/ which showcases the new works (including video) from The Lute Project concert, and the Australian Music Centre Resonate e-Forums, presented in conjuction with the Australian Music Centre.

The Car Orchestra concert directed by Michael Atherton generated much publicity, including internationally. The YouTube clip gives a good idea of the piece.
